Alex and I were married August 21st, 2010. Life has been an adventure since the day I met him, and I don't expect it to slow down.
We met at Brigham Young University during my freshman and Alex's junior years. Needless to say, he swept me off my feet and re-planted them firmly in a land that had seemed but a distant notion, a far off destination, mere months before...a land where I found myself hopelessly in love (awww!).
The rest of that story is history.
We currently live in Boise, Idaho. Alex serves as an Officer in the Air Force, specializing in Force Support management of facilities, and design of wartime simulations/readiness assessments. After a slew of complications that arose from transferring schools after Alex was stationed here, I continue my studies in Nursing, and restlessly await the day that I begin work as and RN. I plan pursuing graduate-level training in this area, preferably in the fields of either anesthesia or family practice. Alex is also working on his MBA, which we hope will prove advantageous when he leaves the military and enters the private sector.
We both grew up with a deep love for and heavy involvement in music. It filled our lives with meaning prior to meeting each other, it quite literally brought us together, and continues to be a great part of our lives. We consider ourselves pretty lucky to be able to share this personal, powerful part of our lives with one another. I teach guitar lessons and we do our best to perform from time to time within the confines of crazy schedules.
We are blessed to have the loving influence of supportive and awesome family all the time.
Life is a beautiful, messy, hazardous, unpredictable enterprise...and we're happy we are going through it holding hands.
